What is storyberries?

Storyberries.com was founded in 2015 with the aim of creating a free, easily-accessible online collection of quality stories, comics, fairy tales and poems for children. Storyberries seeks to contribute to the UNESCO Education 2030 Incheon Declaration and Framework for Action by helping ensure universal access to books, reading and learning, as well as helping families participate in a culture of reading that is supportive of formal educational goals.

Since its launch it has rapidly found itself a beloved place in the hearts, homes and schools of children all around the world, and has enjoyed more than 100 million page views to date. Storyberries offers both classic and contemporary stories in an easy-to-read format with vibrant illustrations designed to excite children and engage them around reading. It also offers discussion guides designed to encourage caregivers and children the opportunity to explore real-life issues together over stories.

Stories at Storyberries are selected and organised by theme, enabling parents, teachers, caregivers and children to share learnings from literature in addressing common childhood issues such as bullying, empathy, beauty, self confidence, helping, stranger danger and more. In doing so, it hopes to harness the power of literature to empower children to understand their own evolving natures and special place in the world.
